What hypocrites. The Democrats practically beatified Eric Shinseki when his comments about troop levels contrasted with the prevelant views of his commander George W. Bush. Shinseki was an “American Hero,” and a man who spoke “Truth to Power,” in the best interests of the country. Now the the anti-war shoe is on the other foot, Stanley McChrystal’s response to a hypothetical is “insubordination,” a dangerous reversal of civilian control of the military, and their recommendation for him is to “shut up and salute.” Got to hand it to you – you don’t let facts stand in your way – it’s all anti-war, all the time, and damn anyone or any fact that gets in the way. hypocrisy
