Wait? Did you think we were serious? You think he has policies? Hahah…of course not. He only has platitudinous speeches and hackneyed Marxist economic theories. Here we will list the Obama’s policies which are born from a either a naieve understanding of the American system or a sadisitc passion to destory all that is good about America:

1) Surrender in Iraq – That’s right folks. The man who opposed the now successful “surge strategy” advocated by John McCain and General David Patreaus, wants us to give up all our hard-fought gains in Iraq, and just leave, no matter the consequences. Can you imagine George Washington calling is quits at Yorktown? Franklin Roosevelt throwing in the towel at Normandy or Okinawa? Obama wants to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by advocating an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops, now that we’re on the verge of finally securing Iraq. Everyone wants our troops out of Iraq, but we can’t just pick up and leave, and certainly not now, when were so close to success. Obama’s strategy of leave if we are winning and leave if we are losing will weaken America, leave Iraq dangling, and denigrate the sacrifices of the brave men and women who have given so much to remove an evil dictator and establish new hope for the Middle East.  

2) Economy-Killing Tax Policy – Obama and the Democrats have been screaming “recession” for months now despite the fact that we haven’t had even one quarter of negative growth in seven years. That isn’t to say that the economy isn’t slow, it is. So what does Obama propose? Raising Taxes! This is like a doctor looking at a patient sick with heart disease and prescribing large quantaties of fried food.

McCain wants to cut corporate tax rates (now the 2nd highest in the industriallized world) to make our companies more competitive. That means more work for Americans. McCain propses that we retain our current lower tax burden by not allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire. McCain wants to take a gas tax holiday, so that you can pay less at the pump, and lower your capital gains tax rate, so that you can invest in the market with a higher return. McCain wants to cut government spending so that we can begin to balance the books and reduce the appaling waste that is fed by your hard earned tax dollars. By contrast, Obama wants to dramatically increase the size of government on top of the Bush growth.  Obama wants to raise individual income tax rates on some Americans that he believes make too much money, which means those same people will have less money to spend on the products and services that are the bread and butter of many middle class Americans. He wants to raise the capital gains rate to dry up liquidity in the markets, he wants to impose windfall proftis taxes on our oil companies, a tax that will be passed on to you at the pump in the form of higher gas prices, and he wants to raise the social security tax to historic highs – doubling the burden for many employers and employees alike. The result will be a screaching halt to this fragile economy, and economic ruin for many Americans already struggling to get by. It will be change though! Maybe that is what Obama wants.

3) Socialized Medicine – That’s right people, Obama wants the federal government to be your doctor. Just think of how much better your feel when you get to pay your portion of the annual $110 billion dollars it will take to create the huge bureacracy that will now be between you and wellness. I’m sure you’ll love paying more so that millions of people can get free healthcare…all legal citizens of course, and all legitimately sick. Don’t worry about fraud or government waste though. The welfare system worked so well, an no on ever tries to defraud the US government! I’m sure you’ll love having to wait in line to see a substandard doctor like in England. I’m sure you’ll love having to wait a year to see a dentist or 6 months to get an x-ray. And just think of the 800 numbers you’ll get to dail, the helpful government staff that will be there to assist you, and the added benefit that after you’ve had it with the whole monumentally incompetent system, you’ll end up going back to the free market and paying to get the healthcare you really want anyway. The hell with Constitution, I’m sure the framers just left out the part about the federal government running a giant national healthcare service.

3) Supports “Clean Coal” – Clean Coal is a myth. Coal is drity, nasty and unsafe. There is only cleaner coal; and its not that much cleaner. Nuclear is the cleanest, safest form of power available to man. Its power stations have a smaller footprint than windfarms or solar farms. Nuclear power is deployed and used successfully in submarines, and even the French see its benefits. Electric cars that plug in to your wall will do nothing for the environment because the majority of domestic power is pulled from dirty coal burning power stations.

Obama says that he supports clean energy and plans to fund a $150 billion to develop clean energy. Which falls lock step into Leftist policies that “if its too hard or will take a long time, we should not start“. Its that kind of mind set that prevented the proliferation of Nuclear power thirty years ago. If we had started then there is a good chance that we would have all but eliminated dirty soot spewing coal fired power plants. Clearly, if Geo. W. Bush was an oil man, Mr. Obama is a “coal man“. 

Don’t think we are giving McCain a pass. Recently he articulated his ambition to see 45 new reactors built by 2030. Much to our dismay, however, he also wants to spend money on “clean coal”. While we vigorously applaud the efforts to build as many nuclear power as possive in a move to cleaner more efficient power, we cannot let his waning support of “clean coal” escape our criticism.

4) Wants energy independence but does not support domestic drilling – Seriously? Yes. Barack Obama speaks of energy independence, but at heart he panders to the Coal lobby and offers no plan to ween America from foreign oil. He also fails to address the fact that most of our oil is imported from Canada and Mexico. I guess its sexier to blame George W. Bush.

Obama wants to support oil independence with fuel economy standards and other energy efficiency stnadards, but offers no steps to reduce petroleum in consumer products (like plastics) or otherwise reduce the flow of oil from other countries.

5) Wants to put a halt to manned space missions – That is right. In 2009 the Space Shuttle wil be retired. Having served our country and science for 30 years amazingly well. The Constellation program is set to take its place; not under a Barak Obama Presidency! Barack wants to put a five year halt to the development of this valuable program. Read here – page 15, last paragraph.

halting development on Constellation will result in a reliance on China and Russia to access our assets in space, reduce the science workforce in America and generally retard scientifc growth in America.

6) Provide terrorists captured on foreign soil access to the US Court System – Obama has to be one of the dumbest politicians I have ever heard speak. Obama spoke out recently saying that he believes terrorists captured on foreign soil should be provided access to US Courts, the rules of evidence, habaes corpus and other benfits of us citizenship. This is a flawed way of thinking because it places the fight to protect American citizens from terrorists in the realm of a “crime” and not a war. Importantly, it would accomplish *nothing* in the fight to protect America from terrorism.

Let it be known, Mr. Obama, that the 9/11 commission understood that Al Qaeda has been “at war” with the US since the 90’s. Regardless, Holding terrorists in secret prisons away from the protections of the American justice system is designed to deter terrorism in that information about connections, Al Qaeda and future attacks may be obtained. That information may lead to actions to protect you and yoru family.

Assuming, for purposes of his policy, that sentences handed out by American juries are set up as a punishment and a deterrant to domestic crime - THEY DO NOT WORK . Purse snatchers, bank robbers and gang bangers are not deterred by the threat of a trial and/or prison. That said, what result do the Democrats and Obama expect to obtain from enforcing this kind of ridiculous policy? The only result will be a laughing Osama. And yes, this is a less effectiuve policy than fighting the war in Iraq.
